Our Little Lives

How come the older you get, the more you can find sweetness in bitterness?

It is bitter when you are away from your loved ones, but you also find it sweet when you can catch up with them — even virtually. It makes you realize how such little moments in life are so precious to you that you want time to be frozen. Small talks or deep talks, are those moments, but they make you want to keep them in your secret place, awaiting for a moment to review them when you need to go back to them.

It is bitter when you come home and see no one is there for you, but you also find it sweet that you can enjoy the space by yourself. You long to be independent of your parents or your guardians, however, you hate it when the warmness, the thing you need, isn’t there when you need it the most. You ask yourself if it is the freedom or the loneliness when you yearn for:

The Hug. The Kiss. The Nice and Comfort words.

It is bitter when you feel down due to whatever reasons, but you also find it sweet when you can turn this feeling into something productive and constructive. You hate such moments, yet you also realize you can be creative and produce better (or heartfelt) written pieces or whatever work you have been on. You don’t want such feeling to occur, but you cannot wait for the thrill it will bring to you and your work.
